MD Codes
MD Codes are anatomical areas of the face that can be injected to address facial changes over time. Dr. Mauricio De Maio has mapped the face and identified 75 injection points . These points are represented by letters, which correspond to anatomical units, and by numbers, which indicate the sequences in which injections can be administered.
The areas concerned are numerous and varied , including the tear trough, lips, cheeks, cheekbones, temples, forehead, jaw, nasolabial folds, marionette lines and chin. Dr. Sébastien-François Durieux , having benefited from the mentorship of Dr. De Maio, has mastered this technique perfectly and applies it daily at Skin Aesthetics 87.
"I perform injections using a needle or a cannula, using different techniques such as fan injection, retrotracing or bolus. Depending on the needs, I perform injections in depth, in a medium plane or superficially. The volume of product injected also varies depending on the points treated and the desired effect, whether volumizing, lifting, or other," he explains.
