What is a collagen inducer?
Collagen inducers are resorbable products that, once injected into the skin, will activate fibroblasts : the cells responsible for collagen production . This process improves the density and structure of the skin, while restoring volume to wrinkled, sagging or creased areas.
The different types of collagen inducers
Harmonyca™
It combines two elements: hyaluronic acid and calcium hydroxyapatite . This combination provides an immediate lifting effect thanks to the hydration of hyaluronic acid and, in the long term, a stimulation of collagen production to redensify the skin. Ideal for restoring the structure and elasticity of the skin .
Radiesse®
It is a filler based on calcium hydroxyapatite microspheres . This component stimulates the production of collagen and elastin in the skin, while having an immediate volumizing effect. It is particularly effective in treating deep wrinkles, sagging skin, and loss of volume in the face (such as cheeks, chin, marionette lines, etc.).
Lanluma
Based on poly-L-lactic acid , it is a collagen inducer particularly appreciated for its effects on the face and body. It stimulates the production of collagen , thus making it possible to restore volume to hollow areas, reshape the contours of the face, treat cellulite , and perform non-surgical lifts , particularly in the buttocks and décolleté.
Indications of collagen inducers
These treatments are aimed at anyone wishing to improve the appearance of their skin, restore volume or combat the signs of aging.
These injections are recommended in the following cases:
Filling of wrinkles and fine lines : Particularly deep wrinkles such as marionette lines, nasolabial folds, and facial wrinkles.
Skin redensification and hydration : Ideal for restoring skin elasticity and combating sagging skin.
Volume loss : Treatment of hollow areas of the face such as the cheeks, temples or chin.
Progress of the injection session
During the initial consultation, a personalized treatment plan will be developed to meet your specific needs. The doctor will select the most appropriate collagen inducer based on the area to be treated and the desired results.
Injections are usually performed under local anesthesia or with products containing an anesthetic to limit discomfort. Depending on the area being treated, injections can be performed in the dermis or subdermis. The duration of the session varies from 30 to 60 minutes , depending on the extent of the areas to be treated.
The results of collagen inducers
The results of collagen inducer injections are progressive and visible after 2 to 3 months , once collagen production has taken place.
The effects are long-lasting and vary depending on the product used from 12 to 24 months .
Monitoring and recommendations
After the injections, you can resume your daily activities immediately . It is recommended to avoid massaging or applying pressure to the treated area for a few days. Optimal hydration and regular sun protection will help maintain the effects of the injections.
